Here is another shot that was taken in Galveston a few weeks ago. I took this shot on the same day as I took the shot of the Moon that came out so breathtaking, and beyond my wildest expectations! The shot I got of the moon is by far my absolute favorite shot I have ever taken. The conditions were perfect, just like this one, and soon it will be on canvas, and on my wall.

This shot was perfectly timed and came out better than I expected. The best part about this one is, we decided to go out onto the pier even though the winds had kicked up a little more than I would have liked them to be, for photographing. Seeing as it had been cloudy and raining on and off all day, I wasn’t holding my breath for a great shot. But… I can’t lie, the entire walk on the pier I was literally praying that I could get just a few quick shots of the sunset before anything ruined the moment. But the clouds parted, I got my shots, and I didn’t walk away disappointed!
The sun was perfect, the beach was perfect, the tide was perfect and when everything that was wrong with the world was wrong with the world, except for here! At this moment in time, everything was right with my world. There is no editing or filters on this photo. I pointed, focused, took the shot, and I smile every time I look at it.
I want to say Thank You to the surfers that posed for the shots. They saw me taking pictures of the sunset and beach and every time I focused on the water they would ride the wave and pose for the shot. To whoever you are, you are the best and you totally made these shots!
